“The Ministry is here to help you adapt to the future of food. With meat becoming unaffordable, what are you going to use as a substitute in 2050? Don’t worry – the Ministry is here to advise. Come and sample some of its surprising recipes.”
In March 2016 Kitchen Theory worked with the Science Museum in London to develop the Ministry of Nutrition which was hosted at the Lates sessions as well as over the weekend. Over 400 adults and children tried cricket brownies, sesame marinated jellyfish and nettle arancini as part of the ministry’s goal of educating Londoners on the types of food which they may be eating in the future as a result of environmental issues which surround industrial agriculture, particularly animal farming and the fisheries industry.
The point was sustainable and nutritious foods can also be very very tasty!
